The Cause
1 in every 5 children is a victim to this crime. Despite strict laws, various acts and regulations, the cases keep rising. Awareness, tolerance and knowledge on reporting is lacking. Children are not safe even inside their homes as research suggests that 95% of children knew the abuser.
The Approach
Prevention is key. Through our fun-filled activity based workshop, children are sentizsed about the crime, given facts of it, sources of reporting and also self-defence techniques. This brings in confidence to protect self, understanding that it is a crime they can escapre from and help save another child prone to it.
Impact
Schools of Chikhaldara, Maharasta helped us communicate and voice out the problem to 3000 plus children. Workshops in 3 major child care instiitutes of the district Cuttack has been done impacting 100 children altogether.
